Course Notes
Phase 1: Get Ready
laying the groundwork for success
Before you start marketing or trying to bring in new golfers, you need to lay the foundation. This phase is all about:
- Developing the right mindset: You need to fully commit to following a proven strategy instead of trying to figure it all out on your own.
- Choosing or creating a structured marketing plan: Either follow a step-by-step marketing plan from a proven expert or build your own- and then stick to it!
- Understanding the market demand: The golf fitness industry is growing and there are more golfers looking for specialized training than ever before. This is a huge opportunity for professionals who take action.
- Utilizing available resources: Take stock of the tools, networks, and marketing professionals who take action.
Phase 2: Get Set
building your network and client base
Once you have the right mindset and plan in place, it’s time to start building your business network and attracting golfers. Here’s how:
- Build a network of business friends: The larger your network, the more referrals and business opportunities you’ll receive. Make it a goal to add at least 10 new business contacts each month.
- Create a database of golfer prospects: Every golfer you meet- whether they’re a beginner or an experienced player- should be added to your database. Even if they don’t become clients immediately, they may refer others who will.
- Leverage business relationships: Many business owners, executives, and sales professionals play golf or know someone who does. Connecting with these individuals can open the door to valuable referrals.
- Find and follow industry experts: The golf fitness industry has very few resources compared to general fitness. That’s why it’s essential to follow the right experts who know how to attract golfers. Learn from them, ask questions, and tap into their strategies.
Phase 3: GO!
implement and take action
Now it’s time to put everything into motion. Execution is key. Having a great training program or the best golf fitness routines won’t automatically bring golfers into your business- you need to actively market and promote your services. Here’s what to do:
- Commit to your marketing plan: Whether you choose to use a proven system or create your own, you need to follow through. Consistency is everything.
- Start reaching out to your network: Engage with business contacts, send emails, and make connections with potential clients.
- Promote yourself as the go-to golf fitness expert: Position yourself as the expert in your area by sharing valuable content, testimonials, and client success stories.
- Track your results and refine your strategy: Monitor what’s working and adjust as needed. Success comes from continuous improvement and adaption.
